This weekend brought a circus and fun in the forest. Chance and Ryan gave me a mommy break and spent some male bonding at one of the many visiting circuses that frequent Zurich. Chance's big day included going to the park, then the petting zoo at the circus, then the main event. He was one tired boy afterwards.
Sunday we ventured up in to the forest again. We love it there. It is our hideaway, our retreat. On one of Ryan's mountain bike rides he scoped out a new place for us to BBQ and so we tried it out. It was great, so much more seclusive than the other spot, and still just a short hike (straight up hill) from our house. We bought some yummy pork kabobs and grilled them up while we played hide and seek in the forest for a loooong time. One of us would hide with Chance and the other would seek, and I gotta tell you, that Ryan is a really good hider. For awhile it was as if we were transformed in to kids again.

So, in between the games of hide and seek, we of course always throw the football (and kick the other kind of football!). No picnic is complete without the football. Just wish my spiral could be a little more consistent. I was tired and wanted to sit down, and Ryan didn't want to lose out on football throwing, so I was informed to "Get up Honey, we can't have no pansies at the picnic". So I got up and played one-two-three hut, as I attempted to run out, cut across and catch the football. Needless to say, we unfortunately didn't make any first downs with me as receiver, but it was still fun nonetheless.
