Some new blogs added

Check out the Friends and Blogs column down on the left. I've added a couple new ones.

First one is titled "Murf", my highschool friend Elizabeth Murfee who was recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. It will chronicle her experience as she undergoes chemo and radiation. I strongly believe in the power of prayer, and so the more people that know about her, the more support she can receive.

Second is the blog for Chance's Kindergarten. I've always secretly dreamed of Chance's school having a blog to keep up with their activities and happenings, and at last it has come!

Check em both out!

Lots of Change in the Baganz House!

Week 1 Down of School, and many more to go! This commute wore me out completely this week to and fro school, I'm now traveling about 4 hours a day getting our kiddo to school. Lot's of stuff seemed to happen this week:

OUR STAY GOT FINALIZED.....We finally got official word of our stay, seems like that literally took FOREVER, but we'll be here for another 20 months or so, and we are very excited for the opportunity!

TIME SKIPPED A YEAR....and our little Pre-K'er is now a Kindergartner! This week Chance's teachers talked to me about the unique situation in Chance's Pre-K class. Chance was the only one in his class that was a native English speaker, and because of this, his teachers felt it best to do some additional testing on Chance and see if he would fit nicely in to the Kindergarten class instead. Well, he passed his tests with flying colors, and Friday he started his first day in Kindergarten! I never thought I'd be a mom that cried the first day her kid went to Kindergarten, but I have to admit it was a little emotional for me cause I thought I had another year before my little guy was in real school. He started his first day there on Friday and did really well. We are very proud of him!

3 MEALS OUT IN ONE DAY, TOGETHER and ALONE.....Yesterday Ryan took the day off to hang out with me while Chance was in school. What a treat. And we had a sitter lined up for last night, so we were actually able to eat out 3 meals in one day together, and without child! We were laughing last night this was history in the making....probably never again will we be able to eat 3 meals out in Zurich in one day, much less without our kid. It was such a fantastic day to kick around town and enjoy our city from an adult point of view. We basically went from cafe to restaurant to shop, covering the whole city basically. And to add to the excitement of the day, Ryan kept attracting winos......literally every tram we got on, some drunkard managed to sit by us and strike up a conversation. On our tram ride home last night something just didn't feel right....and it was because no crazy person was talking to us!

Paddle Boating Fun

Sunday was Ryan's pseudo birthday celebration, and he wanted to spend the day paddling around the lake. We rented one of these cool red paddle boats, and Chance took the wheel for much of the ride. Ryan brought his big fishing hat with him and kept insisting that I wear the thing, and despite my attempts to not put it on, he kept telling me "no honey, you really need to wear it." Hmmm. Well little did I know that as soon as we got close enough to this big water fountain, Ryan grabbed the steering wheel so that we could all get wet (well, except for my hair that was shaded by the hat)!

And today was Chance's first day of his new school. Some hesitations, but he got off without a hitch and no tears at all! The hour commute each way is going to take some getting used to but hopefully it will pay off! We'll see how it goes today when I pick him up.
