Well this morning we say good-bye to Mimi after a month-long visit. Chance and I woke up to a very quiet and somber house. This past month has been so fun for all of us and we are very sad to see her go. Having visitors really makes me homesick when they leave!
Over the course of the month we tried to pack in as much as possible to give Mimi a true Swiss experience. We visited castles and a small medieval village, we basked in the rays of the Spanish Mediterranean, we rode the oldest cogwheel in Europe up to Mt Rigi to see the summer Alps from up in the sky, took a steamer down Lake Luzern, and swam in Lake Zurich beneath the view of the Alps. We were also so happy to welcome Mimi to our town so she could get a feel for our daily life and experience it first hand. We had so much fun showing her all of Chance's favorite parks, celebrating the ZuriFascht carnival, meeting our friends, visiting the zoo, seeing Chance's school and so much more.
Mimi we will miss you and can't wait for an Austin visit toward the end of the year (hopefully!)
