Happy Father's Day

Ryan's 5th father's day was full of fun, as only he would have it! Chance helped me prepare a nice pancake breakfast after giving Ryan a couple pieces of art he worked so hard on. We headed out to Flumserberg our home away from home in the mountains to soak up a little mountain air, hang out with the cows, throw the frisbee around a bit and grill up some big hunkin pork ribs. The weatherman was a little off as usual, unfortunately the "sun with some clouds" predicted somehow turned out to be drizzle with some rain, but we pushed through and hiked up a ways to a great grilling spot. We didnt let the rain stop our fun...We pitched Chance's tent, built a fire and enjoyed watching the cows being herded down the mountain for their evening milking. Chance is so at peace in outdoors, everything seems to relax and we just all enjoy ourselves so much.

I still can't get over these Swiss cows, I want to take one home with me to Texas. They are so cute, so shiny and healthy, really probably one of the most beautiful animals I have ever seen....yes, a cow!

After our BBQ we headed back down the mountain to find the cows all nestled in their barn, perfectly lined up with their tails pinned back so that they could be milked. They each had a name tag!

Flumserberg was hosting the Swiss tour that day and so we were able to route in the Swiss Tour bikers as they crossed the finish line. Chance loved standing on the fence line and making lots of noise as they passed. Check out this face of pain.

And here's the little fan all dressed in Swiss gear.....
