3 Gods???

The past 6 weeks Chance has been doing a Unit of Inquiry about "Celebrations". He came home one day and said...."You know mom, there are 3 Gods: God, Jesus and Krishna". The first thought that came in to my head is "Why are they teaching my child about cults at school?" But then I later learn that no it wasn't the Hare Krishna's he was referring to, it was one of the Gods in the Hindu religion. You see my ignorance shining thru. Actually each child had to prepare a poster on some type of celebration that they do in their culture, and with 11 different languages spoken in the classroom amongst the kids, Chance was very exposed to all sorts of different religions and celebrations. He did his poster on Thanksgiving since no other kids in his class are American. We did have to clarify however that in our religion, we don't believe in Krishna, or Hare Krishna for that matter. All the parents were invited to come see what the kids had been working on at the end of the unit. Chance was so cute and involved at the table he was "working" at with his friend Lope. And here he is manning his poster as the parents walked around the room to look at each of the kids'. Here's some songs that they prepared for us. Chance is on the far left and a bit hidden at first.
